This years show was a terrific success, with enthusiastic performers on stage and wonderful audiences in a great theatre. Students of all ages performed in a wide variety of styles including classical ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Freestyle, Salsa and Musical Theatre.
We have received very positive feedback from a number of people who saw the show, and all agree how much was gained from being in the Royal Victoria Hall Theatre this year. Over recent years, we have performed in many other locations - each lovely in their own way, but being in a professional and dedicated theatre was a major benefit this year.
As always, we were
pleased to have the support of Tonbridge Lions who managed front of house, refreshments, and the raffle with their usual professionalism. All proceeds from the show will go to the lions to be distributed amongst local charities.
2011's show will be the last for some of our students as their lives progress. Some are moving on to vocational theatre/dance training, others will choose to follow other unrelated career paths. Either way, we will miss them and enjoyed having them in the Academy. We would like wish them well in their future career paths and we do ask that they remember us and visit from time to time.
