Welcome to Dancegang - The Geraldine Fox Theatre Arts Academy. We are a friendly dancing school based in Tonbridge and surrounding villages in the UK. Established in 1953, we are one of the oldest dance schools in Tonbridge.

We offer classes teaching to Children and Adults in Ballet, Tap, Freestyle (disco, street, hip-hop, pop), Musical Theatre (performing arts - acting and singing), Salsa and Modern Jazz for optional IDTA exams and shows. Most classes on Friday's and Saturday's are in Tonbridge Town centre, although we also teach on other days in Golden Green and Tudeley.

In January 2010, the school changed its name from "Geraldine Fox School of Dancing" to "Geraldine Fox Theatre Arts Academy" to better describe the wide range of subjects on offer.

In the Spotlight 2010

Show photo

Well done to everyone for their performances in the show over the last two days. The standard of the show was excellent and the level of hard work, commitment, and Talent were apparent throughout.

The photo's from the show will be published in the members area within the next week, and we also hope to have a 60 second preview of the DVD.

Performance news for students

The calendar does have some details, but as a reminder to parents and students...

Sat 23rd: Classes cancelled. Dress rehearsal at Angel Centre from 12:15 prompt

Sun 24th: Classes usually held on saturday will be taken at the YWCA at their normal times, just a day late.

Sat 30th: Classes cancelled. Show performance from 1:30 - be at the angel centre by 12:30.

Sun 31st: Show performance from 1:30 - be at the angel centre by 12:30

Snow updates

snowWhilst we are trying to hold as many classes as possible during the snow, we are concious of safety and also of the logistical problems getting around. If any classes are to be cancelled, we will publish these details through this website on this front page. Please check here before setting out for your class.

Beginners Modern Jazz

modern1We are starting this new beginners Modern Jazz class next Saturday morning (14th November); it will begin at 11.45 and will finish at 12.15 and will be held at the YWCA in Lyons Crescent, Tonbridge.

This class is open to pupils aged 8 and over (School years 5 and above).
